The Danish fishing industry has developed rapidly in recent years.
The quality of the fish has improved. Today, many vessels pack their fish at sea. At the same time, the cooling chain is kept uninterrupted all the way from vessel to consumer. This ensures a better quality of fish.
The Danish coastal waters have many exciting fish species, but generally Danes eat the most common fish like plaice and cod. An enormous effort is spent on persuading the Danish people to eat other species of fish.
The entire administration of the fishing industry has also changed. Today, the shipowners own a fixed share of Denmark’s fishing quota instead of sharing a common quota as previously. In practice, this means, among other things, that it is now easier to plan your fishing.
